Ragna the Bloodedge in other Mangas.

Okay, at first it seemed like pure coincidence, but Ragna´s general design seems to be appearing a lot in mangas. Especially his hair is often reused, and combined with a young adult body, its basically him.

Lol I need to start reading the Pokemon Adventures manga and Miss Caelica everyone wants to be a Pokemon Master..ESPECIALLY Rags...I think his team leader is a Mightyena. XD

Ragna's design, personality and history was basically ripped from Heine Rammsteiner from the DOGS Bullet&Carnage manga by Shirow Miwa.

They both have scruffy, white hair, red eyes (or in Ragna's case, one), have both been portrayed to be wearing red jackets.
They also have super weapons grafted onto their body, Ragna's "Azure" onto his arm, and Heine's "Kerberos Spine" on his neck, both of which cause them to fight with much more strength and have increases healing speed (Ragna can survive having his arm blown off, Heine can survive being shot in the chest multiple times). They also have similar physical builds, and both wear earrings (Heine has an assortment of different piercings on his ears, Ragna has a small golden one on his left ear which can be see in some promo art and animated cutscenes)

They both have psychotic, younger, blonde brothers who're obsessed with them at one point or another- Jin and Giovanni, both of which are or have been part of major organizations. Also they have similar hair cuts, and green eyes (or, at least, Giovanni is often portrayed as having green eyes. I'm not far enough in the manga to know what his eye colour is)

They also both have dead little sisters- Saya and Lily- both of whom the death of them troubles greatly. Ragna because he was supposed to protect Saya due to her being frail, and Heine because he mauled her to death with his own hands. Both are also somewhat fragile girls with blonde hair.

Also both BlazBlue and DOGS are set in crap-sack worlds where the Government don't give a damn most of the time, and most people are forced into becoming Bounty Hunters/Vigilantes/something akin.

Not saying BB is a rip off of DOGS, just saying it's likely Mori took... some inspiration from the main characters. DOGS was published originally in 2001 and began running a new manga (DOGS Bullets & Carnage) in 2005 (which is still going).
