Aomi's Trial vs Kinjou Kaninar (RP Sample)

Walking alone in the streets of Kagutsuchi, just returning from her last seithr collecting mission, Aomi enjoyed the moment: it was one of the few moments when she was totally free from everything. But going to the lower places made her feel weird: she maybe had some energy she didn't need, and thus she wanted to get rid of a little of it. "Omoikane Unit released." Her quiet words were still hidden by a few people, and her forehead glowing white wasn't the best of omens. People immediately fled, afraid of her, but she didn't care. As the last brainwash was fading, she started levitating around, harassing people for a fight she wouldn't have from them. She shouted out of impatience: "Why won't they let me play?"

"Because ma'am, they are not combatant types, if you need someone to take this out on, then I will be that person. I, Kinjou Kaninar, challenge you to a contest of skills and technique, do you accept?" his words were enough, but to be ready; the beastkin leapt back and brought his hands up before him, drawing the right palm down and the left hand back to his waist.

He'd taken the most basic stance of the beginning form of Taeken's kick, preparing himself to see if his hand-to-hand skills would be enough to start this match. He could see that it would go over any certain means, he would have to trust his skills to do combat against this foe.

Aomi noticed the beastkin interpelling her. He spoke a bit too loud and this could get on her nerves, but as long as he wanted to fight, she wouldn't be bothered by the speaking: a grin appeared on her face. "Contest... how can you lie to yourself? This is a game! Let's play!" She was going a bit mad. She rushed to him, levitating into the air and delivering finger slashes to cover her. "Come on, play with me, beast!" She was thrilled, which was a thing that didn't happen often, and wasn't supposed to happen for people's security.

As he heard the way she spoke, the inflection in her tone, he had a few things put to mind, he could see that she was not someone of a normal state, more than human and in this light, along a twisted mark, this would not however affect his calm state of mine. "Lie? I see, that you are a unit...and your mind seems to be curved, but this is just as well. No matter, let us 'play' then if you prefer that term. Ladies first...if you will make the first move." though her sudden impulsive maneuver through him off, while taking the initial impact from her finger slashes, the damage clearly showing across the right of his arm; Kinjou's muscle memory was well practiced and brought a mighty snap reaction in turn for the attack of hers.

As there his right foot snapped straight up at frightening speed, while his mind focused and ignored the pain present in his right arm, to his fortune the damage was not terribly immense; as a beastkin he was capable of taking far more pain than any human. Fortunate his training would allow him to bear some damage, with a strong mental fortitude. He was certain that at this range, even being a unit of sorts; that she would bear the full force of his powerful rising kick.

Aomi had already attacked recklessly. The first slashes hit, but she didn't even notice his right leg and took the powerful kick right on the chin. The beastkin's attack was so powerful that she was knocked meters away in the sky. But she didn't fall. She didn't even seem to have taken any physical damage, even if she had been stunned for sure. Aomi laughed crazily: "Heeheehee... HYAHAHAHAHA!!! Let's get a bit more into it!" She was so hasty that she immediately dashed levitating back and covering her advance with energy slashes, but this time, she teleported behind him just before attempting to put her finger on his brain.

The beastkin did the only thing he thought best to do at this point, diving to the right of the slash waves; he managed a simple tumble and pushed off of the ground with both of his hands, springing up at the end of the shove before coming to land on his feet. Surely her own blades of energy might find her, that or the dodge was simply that of its own.

He moved on with his choice of action, drawing the Huang Long Ji and pointing the head of the spear at her, twisting it around with his strong left arm, a soft aura would build around him as his inner-energy began to soar. The use of his Ji'an energy being translated, pushed into the spear with a growing haste. As it slowly began Ki'an, his spear pointed at her and released a soft breath. "Kyah!", the ready sign, there would be no more mistakes on his end, especially not if he could see it coming. He was awakened, the real battle was beginning.

(OoC: When I say energy finger slash, that isn't a projectile, the slashes are static. When I say "wave", than the slashes become projectiles. Sorry for not having been clear enough before.)

Seeing Kinjou pointing at her with his spear, Aomi teleported away. She was shouting: "So you wanna play distance game? HYAHAHAHA!!!" Going madder and madder, she teleported again, but high in the sky. "I'm unbeatable at this one game!" She yelled again, sending finger slashwaves aimed at the beastkin.

"Unbeatable? So we shall see, Hyah!" his words were suddenly backed by the iron of his ki'an release. In that sudden instant that he released a sizable thrust (about 10 feet by 9 feet), in the shape of the swirling mass of dark blue energy; fired straight from the tip the Ji's blade. His action was set to meet these multitude of waves, figuring that a solid mass backed by his concentration would be able to defeat the numerous or hopefully cancel out some of them. He leapt back, while twisting the center of the polearm as he channeled more energy into the base of the Hang Long's form; what he seemed to be backbuilding the power inside of him, aiming it towards one goal if he ever had this worked out; he'd take care of this now...with such threatening power he could not allow it to go on..too long.

The power that he'd felt off of her was appalling, Ji'an forming a nice dark blue haze around him, picking up into the shape of a powerful aura as he drew the spear back to his side; preparing the next few moves, a long range game? Not for long if he had anything to say about it. She was certainly providing him with more than he'd expected; more of a fight than he had gotten in some time.

Seeing her opponent stalling her wasn't a very good thing for Aomi to see: "OMOIKANE UNIT RELEASED!!! DRIVE ENGAGED!!!" A dark blue aura appeared around her, and she proceeded to send greater slashwaves to harass his defensive position... Aomi yelled again: "How can you say you will beat me if you don't even try to touch me?!?"

Frowning at the ferocity of her attack, he could see that this was indeed no kind of battle for testing strength, no 'contest' as he would have preferred it. She was far too serious, with a borderline blood thirst to her desire for his blood now. He decided that it was not the time to persist anymore on his defense. As the slash waves approached him, Kinjou decided the time to strike was now. "Then so be it! Huang Long's fury...be felt!" the words of his choice had seemed to cause a growing resonance with his spirit. From his first wound, his outrage at the situation; enough was enough.

With his command to the resonant rod that he used to hold his ground, sweeping the blade through the first of the turbulent energy waves; greeted by the impact; his feet dug into the earth more. "This battle will come...to you!" , charging off of the ground; heading into the slash waves, while spiraling the center of his spear; creating a small mass of his Ki'an (Inner energy) in a shield-form, he used this to cross through the waves unharmed, while heading for the very unit, who had just released her power.

Observing the beastkin's moves, Aomi began to laugh: "PREDICTABLE!" She had by far the time she needed to teleport elsewhere. She chose some place away and she started to strike again, but even stronger. Her crest appeared around her. "BLUE THUNDER!!!" As she shouted, her Distortion Drive made a giant beam fall from the sky, right on Kinjou's shielded attack. It would be quite an exploit to actually get through this, hopefully, if her opponent succeeded in this, she was still too high to get hurt.

Finding himself meeting her distortion head on, this 'Blue Thunder' was quite the maneuver and sorely threw him off balance. As the blast came into contact with his still barrier, which had been generated by his swirling actions. Kinjou knew better than to stop, even as he felt his barrier being crushed into the ground; the force of which caused him to grunt, as the majority of the beam had been at least held off; he was still subject to the open frying of the rest of the distortion drive. The impact of which caused him to crack the ground, for a moment his cough coming afterwards; as he rose from the ground slowly, staggering a moment from the sheer power that it held.

He knew he was fortunate not to take the full brunt of that attack, had it been this he would be in worse shape. "Then, we shall try something new." if anything it was perhaps the troubling issue of attempting to close the gap, right now he was not quite ready for such an action; he needed to get her down here. He had been storing some extra Ji'an, he would use the spiritual expansion technique.

"Then, we will see if I cannot swat you from the air, I admit that I cannot reach you...but if I extend my blade; through our arts...you may find yourself within my reach!" Kinjou's words were not all a waste of breath, as he spoke, rising from the blade of the Ji had been a stream of his energy. Placing it into focus, he constructed an expansion of his spear; forming in this essence a 'blade of of his spirit', a fitting replica of the Snake Ji's blade, but only much larger. Reaching up some height, within the short time it was about 20 feet in height; but being so thin, it lacked a broad edge. He was prepping carefully for his attack on her.

Seeing the size of Kinjou's energy blade, Aomi began to laugh again hysterically. "No way something that big even comes in contact with me!" Staying long away, she began to make her hands glow full of her dark blue energy. Then she put herself in a motion that seemed to be inspired from archery: an enormous energy arrow just appeared between her hands. She aimed at Kinjou, and shot the arrow as she prepared another one. "This is starting to get fun!!! HYAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Her laughter could have reminded Kinjou of Hazama if he had known him.

The laugh of someone who had truly lost their mind, this unit...she was someone that had to be stopped. He was not certain if he could do so, but he would be damned if he did not try. He would put it all on the line, as the first of these arrows she was in the midst of creating had launched his way; he released the trump of his. Having suddenly pushed off of the ground with his tail, he pushed great force into it; just like a spring...he extended his tail outward, at a rising angle aiming for her. And something like a spring, he raced towards her; with his Huang Long Ji ready for its strike.

As he shot towards her, his body and the Halberd both lit up with the expression of his desire to defeat his foe, in his mind he kept the plan simple in one shot... , he would attempt to end this at once. Throwing all he had to offer into the attack. "This is all that I have to give, come and face it if you dare! Song of the Soaring Blade's Flying Spiral!" the attack as it were named seemed fitting; as around his body had formed a powerful swirl of something yellow...or perhaps yellow-gold. For one moment his mind, body, and spiritual prowess had all aligned. He joined the significant increase of his potential to his blade, risking everything to put down his flow. As the massive aura (expanding about 25 feet by 20 feet) swirl raced towards its intended target; the damaging shot that exploded near the base of his tail had left its mark; with his tail tip drifting up behind his form, bloody and heavily scraped from the damage, enough so that the raw meat of the form was left over.

Would the attack be enough to truly stop this insanity that his opponent had unleashed? He was hardly sure...but as it was, he went forward with all he could offer.

As her first arrow exploded in the ground, causing tremendous collateral damage, the now maniacal Aomi saw the giant spear coming to her. It instantly shut her mouth. She had to try her best if she wanted to avoid it. Hopefully, she was awake and had already got rid of all her limitations. going back to the ground as hard as she could, she still couldn't help but watch her legs get ripped away by the sheer force of the aura. The pain was here, but as her head was a Unit, she couldn't feel it much and came to enjoy it. Her legs weren't that much of a loss anyway: she could get them repaired as she would come back to the headquarters. Aomi levitated slowly near Kinjou's body, but remained at least 20 feet away. "Shall I get rid of you now?" she said very more quietly than usual. Then she fired a small ball at Kinjou... (Astral'd if this connects)

Kinjou could feel the motion ripping through his body upon landing on the ground, his body felt stretched..like taffy; the use of such potent excess Ji'an force was more than expected to leave such a result to his body. As he watched his Huang Long Halberd draw in the energy, he eyed his opponent; spying the small orb that she launched him at him. "N-Not...so easily!" Kinjou's desperate move, though having some impact had at first been a bust, he could feel the energy destabilizing violently; breaking down from its combined state.

As he no longer had the will to hold it together, there was only one chance for him to end up torn in pieces...as opposed to dead. "The Final Backlash of Spiral's Double-Edge!" as the move suggested, it was the final move to the a missed swing. With but one way for all that stored energy to go...that was outward. His slash was aimed for her orb, not with the spear itself, but the rapidly releasing wave of energy that would meet that orb head-on. In a splash of Ki'an force, the waves ripping into the beastkin's body with a mighty roar, shoving him backwards as the full of the remains...simply exploded. The force was spiking out in all directions, as if he had dropped some sort of a miniature bomb of his own energy; the wave of force shoved him violently into the ground, ripping him into the earth every so few feet.

Before finally leaving him on his back, gripping his spear as the indescribable pain torn into his body, all this told him? He was still alive...at least for the time being. He had not seen what the sizable blast would have done; she was some feet away, but this blast didn't seem to care whether one was point blank or otherwise.

(Note: It just shot out in all directions, imagine a jagged ball with uneven spikes shooting out about oh..30 feet in a sphere shape. That's how far back he was thrown and so I imagine it might do a little something~)

Aomi got struck by some of the shockwaves when her energy ball met Kinjou's "last will", but it was definitely damage she could still afford to take. Approaching her grounded opponent, she sat next to him, sighed and started to talk. "How could that fight be so inconvenient? You're strong, but pulling all your effort on a single attack is no good... And you damaged my body... And you got yourself down! That's totally unfair!!" One could assume she would beat the life out of Kinjou, but she broke into tears instead, and took her leave.
