As a surge of energy wash over the battlegrounds, Nirvana stiffened as her metallic form felt..Weightless? That was certainly a different feeling.

Rather scared to discover just how she would fare with this new found freedom, the doll stood completely still, taking on an inactive status as well - defensive for the puppet - to remain grounded.

All she could do for now, is watch the battle take place above her, and hope to hit with a carefully placed anti-air attack if Platinum came within range.

Luna was feeling great - The girl loved being weightless, and it also gave her an advantage about attacking Carl. It wasn't like everyone was used to suddenly floating in midair to attack. She floated towards Carl, and whipped out her over-sized wand, and tried to hit him.

"Don't! Be! Nosy!" Luna yelled, taking a swing at 'im every time she said a word. Luna was quite in a rage, just swinging her wand around. She hadn't fought in a long time, so she was feeling great. She grinned as she hit. There's no way she could lose, right?

The youthful vigilante's oceanic irises dilated slightly as Platinum revealed an extremely large, heart-shaped wand, seemingly out of 'hammerspace'. His opponent was certainly full of surprises, weren't they? And yes, judging by the length, it could most likely reach him even from this distance, while Nirvana remained grounded and virtually helpless to attack from this height.. Boy, things weren't exactly looking stellar for the violet-clad duo at the moment.

Carl put all focus into dodging the over-exaggerated swings of the large weapon, nimbly contorting himself to and fro in a deadly game of twister. He miscalculated slightly - one whack bruised his left shoulder, making him wince in pain, but took this as an opportunity to latch onto the weapon, using its shaft as an express railing down to Platinum, with a rather enraged gleam in his eye.

"Grrr... Don't think this is over yet!," He spat out, as he released his grip on the wand's shaft to entwine his fingers into the scruff of Luna's garments instead, in an attempt to air-throw the fellow youth to send them spiraling down toward Nirvana.

Nirvana's watchful gaze caught the events which were unfolding above her. Seeing her young comrade grasp hold of Platinum - no matter how fleeting the grasp was to be held - was a golden opportunity to try for an anti-air strike. With her position now, she calculated that she maybe, just maybe, would be able to strike with a "Con Brio": Extending her claws innumerable times their length, the doll aimed for the young girl.

"Ach, maybe I am a little over confident..." Luna muttered. Sena? You there? You should be. Get out, now. Luna's in a little trouble, and you know Luna's not the best at guarding.

Fine. Coming. The souls switched fast, and Sena's first reaction was to get the wand and place it in front of him, as to defend, just in case his plan didn't work. It would probably be the end for Luna, Sena, and the hero if it did hit, the claws were really long. Sena tried not to think about being impaled, and tried to get out of Carl's grasp. He tried to land out of the way of the fatal looking claws, and Muchourin rung again, making them heavy as weights.

Sena landed on the ground with a grunt, and got up, trying to peel himself off the ground. No such thing as flying around with this mass, Sena couldn't even jump if he tried, and it was hard enough getting up. The big bell rung again, and everything became its normal mass; it was too hard to attack with that kind. All yours, Luna. Be careful, alright?

The souls switched again, and Luna was in a fighting stance. She moved her head; in a 'Come on, I don't have all day to play with you' way.

Even though his ambitious stride had succeeded, before he had time to follow up with anything, he too went spiraling downward, catching him off guard yet again. This strange youth was certainly good at doing that, which was saying something against someone as prodigious as he.

Hitting the ground with a thud, the boy groaned a bit, a dull pain throbbing within his limbs from the impact. What a relief, though, to be back on a solid surface! His bodily aches hid themselves well behind this optimisim. Carl rose to his feet as soon as he felt the unexplainable heaviness lift its iron grip from their small forms.
So this "Sena" person can manipulate our weights somehow.. It must have something to do with that bell around her neck. Every time it rings, the gravitational pull seems to change completely...

Although it was risky, the boy charged toward Platinum then, the small brass robot that he personally attacked with darting out from seemingly nowhere behind his back, assuming the form of a flagged lance/spear which he lunged broadside toward Luna. He decided his best bet was to try to sandwich her between he and Nirvana now. This brashness was greatly fueled by a fear that he would soon be airborne again, which would leave him fumbling for an opening while his robotic sibling was helpless once more.

The doll should have felt very thankful that she didn't have to suffer trying to fight under the "increased mass" effect. She was already heavy enough, so it would have been close to impossible for her to even -move-!

Turning, Nirvana saw her brother charging toward Luna. Without a seconds' thought, the machine aimed for the girl once again, this time going for a simple, iron-fisted punch.

[Nirvana is now in a decommissioned state]

...How could they do such actions so quickly? Luna was impressed. But in any case, she ducked underneath Nirvana, dodging her fist, and turned toward Carl. ...This wasn't good at all. She was sandwiched between them. What to do... What to do... She couldn't shove the doll out of the way, and she couldn't avoid that attack, in the case... Luna had some skill in defending, so she raised her wand, and held it against the spear, timing the block.

This kid was strong, but Luna wasn't afraid, not at all. She would defeat him, and find Ragna, definitely.

Carl grinned a bit, his eyes narrowing as the brim of his top hat cast a shadow over his upper face, befitting his current mood. He had to hand it to his opponent; few could keep their cool when cornered like that, and even fewer could actually dodge both of their incoming attacks. But he was quick to regain focus, and his slight edge seemed to free-fall the moment he saw his robotic companion double-over pathetically, purple sparks showering from seemingly every opening in her body like some sort of ironic firework show. Nirvana had apparently used the last of her energy on that single punch for now, and so the shota knew he'd have to be extra cautious, fending for himself, until she rose once more.

However, caution would have to wait for now, yet again.. Their mass was still what he was used to at the moment, and so he retreated the robotic lance-flag into his cape once more. Whirling some invisible string from his pocket in an illusionary secretive manner, he lassoed some of this magical rope around the tiny robot's leg before tossing it out discreetly in Platinum's direction again, in an attempt to trip her with it from below (Laetabilis).

...Why... Why was he smiling? Luna smelled something fishy going on, so she tried to move out of the way, only to trip on... Nothing? On closer inspection, it was string, invisible string, but the sun's rays showed a shine on it.

...Oh dammit.

She was in some trouble right now; Carl would probably try and attack her as she was on the ground, and there was nothing she could do about it. Her reactions were slow. It... Was already too late, wasn't it, to dodge this attack?

Quick. Quick. Think of something, dammit! Luna racked her brains to find some solution to this problem, a way for her not to get attacked.

...Maybe, she just had to wait for the attack to occur and then...!

She tried to get up slowly.

Luna'll just have to see, huh. She thought. This kid was pretty smart. What would he do...

( Lol awww.. Poor Platinum I feel kinda bad XD; )

As much of a window for an attack that this successful maneuver left, the boy didn't use the opportunity to harm her. He had bigger fish to fry than that; he knew he couldn't battle for much longer..

So instead, as Luna found her bearings, Carl whipped himself behind her once more (Vivace), while holding the extra slack of transparent rope firm within his grasp. This caused it to loop around her once in a far-stretching tendril, acting as a loose restraint of sorts, which he pulled at with all his might as the thread weaved intricately between his fingers. He hoped to keep her arms tied down to her sides in this manner. It wasn't much, but he felt it might suffice just enough to keep her from moving, perhaps even ending the battle and getting the information! Of course, he could have well been leaping before he looked with such an endeavor.

"Alright. That's enough, Miss Sena. Now.. maybe you can start by telling me your real name," Carl purred rather maliciously, from directly behind her. He tugged harder upon the already taut string to emphasize how dead serious he was about this. Despite his over-confidence, this all left him vulnerable to any attacks that Platinum might still be capable of.

( BTW.. Hope all this was allowed.. if you don't think it was don't hesitate to tell me, I'd change it ^^; )

"No! Never...!" Luna growled, wincing at the pain of the string. Goddamn, this string was really tight... It hurt. A lot. But she wasn't going to give in now! Maybe there was a way to get out of this crazy mess... "I won't tell you anything!" Luna really didn't know much about Ragna, nothing this kid would care about anyway. But he was so confident, maybe, there was something she could do to get out. Maybe he was the kind of person that got caught up in his confidence.

Muchourin chimed again, making them light, everything started to float, and the strings around her arms got loose, and she got out. She hurled herself towards Carl, and shoved him on the ground. The bell chimed, and sent them hurling toward the ground like rocks. When they landed, she got up and brushed off her skirt, and smirked.

The young vigilante knew it was a great risk he was taking with being so offensive, one he usually wouldn't have taken, especially without Nirvana's help. In fear of another episode of weightlessness, he'd been completely unprepared when it did come into play once again, and with such a powerful counter at that. How utterly foolish of him..

Trembling in fatigue, the boy rose to his hands and knees, coughing a bit. Bits of debris from the impact sprinkled his clothes like pepper. Temporarily disabling her was a last resort of sorts, and the over-confidence was a slight bluff as well, a full attempt to terrorize her into complying with his request.
This was what he was afraid would happen.. While he was certainly capable of going on, the odds just weren't in his favor. Carl knew when to back down.. He couldn't risk taking any more damaging attacks. His disposition seemed to change instantly as he prepared to retreat, his irises shimmering in a quite pitiful apprehension.

"No.. Stay away..!" He said, as Luna loomed above him wearing a confident smirk. Clearly his opponent was ready for more if need be.

"I'm sorry! Please.. Let me go..," He added, in a tone which portrayed well his feelings of dread and humiliation. Despite this abrupt, almost unbelievable switch in attitude, he was genuinely surrendering, no deceptive strings were attached to the offer. He didn't want to risk seriously injuring himself or his mechanical marionette partner.. no amount of information was worth that. However, whether or not his opponent would be so gracious, or even trust his word in the first place, was out of Carl's control.

"Why should Lu- I?" Luna smiled cruelly at him, tapping her foot, putting her hands at her sides. "And, why should I trust that you won't come and hurt me?" Luna was stubborn; most of the time it didn't benefit the two, but it was benefiting them now. "And, I have a few questions to ask you anyway. Why are you looking for Ragna the Bloodedge? Is it for money, or other reasons?" Luna really didn't care, but she was going to shove it in his face that he had no power whatsoever in the situation. She stuck her tongue out at him. Nyeh, nyeh, nyeh.

"Oh, and answer this while you're on your back. I'll beat you down again if you get up." Luna took precautions; she didn't want Carl to get up and ambush her.

Carl felt his stomach tie into a knot. Usually he was able to simply make a silent, hasty retreat, as aloof and mysteriously as ever. However, Nirvana was still regaining her energy, and although he knew his partner well enough to know that she would be active again shortly, his opponent wouldn't simply wait for fortune to shine for him..

He grimaced a little bit as her question laced his mind like a strange velvety sandpaper. He wasn't offended by Luna's brash attitude.. it just wasn't something that affected him. However, he was apprehensive to disclose any information to the fellow youth. Of course, though, being locked in a stalemate like this was certainly something that wouldn't benefit either of them.. And so he supposed he would have to trust her a little if he expected her to trust him enough to allow him to make an escape.

"I won't hurt you.. I'm smart enough to know when I'm out of my league, Miss Sena," He replied, biting against his pride, "But no, I don't want Ragna the Bloodedge for his bounty.. I want him.... Well..."

Carl sighed in a disgruntled manner, his eyebrow twitching ever so slightly. He knew it was in his best interest to tell her, in a sort of repent, but even so he felt extremely apprehensive to do so. Would there be any retaliation to this?..

"It's for the Azure Grimoire that he possesses.. I have to use it.. to help Ada..," He finally added, reluctantly, glancing over to his downed robotic sibling in emphasis. His expression grew notably softer then, as if it had made him feel a little bit better somewhere in his core.

(BTW Nirvana said she's gonna post tomorrow k?)

Finally recovering her little energy reserves, Nirvana reactivated and was able to assess what had happened while she was down. Looking to her left, the doll saw none other than Carl cowering on his back, in a helpless looking state, with their opponent looming above him.

Without hesitation, the robot teleported behind the prodigious boy. She step a slim leg afront his arm, ready to defend him from further attack, if that happened.

"..."

Oh. So, nothing really interesting. Some little sad sad story.

"I see..." She said. "I guess there's no harm in letting you go then."

Luna was damn done fighting, so she turned her back on the two, and said, "Well, hurry up and scram now!" Her usually cranky mood returned.

A sense of security immediately washed over Carl the moment he sensed Nirvana's presence behind him, and he couldn't agree more with her precarious advice. However, he listened intently as Luna addressed them. A small sigh of relief left Carl's lips as the two were.. genuinely given permission to go! Of course, he was about to make a run for it whether they were 'allowed' to or not, but this certainly made things safer, with no risks of retaliation.

"Well.. Thank you Miss Sena. We appreciate it," He admitted, a sort of grateful bewilderment in his tone, as he wasn't exactly used to being forgiven so easily like that.. he wondered if he would have been so generous if she had asked the same of him, had the situation been different.
Clambering into his living puppet sibling's long, violet arms, he turned his attention to Nirvana instead.

"Alright, Ada. Let's go home. --That is.. the closest we have to one here, anyway..," He corrected himself, though his tone remained rather optimistic despite it all.

With Carl secure within her iron grasp, Nirvana gave a single nod - a silent response to his request.

Within a moment or two, the doll gaze skyward, which is just the direction they were headed. Without portend, the machine took off, just like the duo's victory animation. They were gone in a matter of a minute, departing in a manner just as unusual as their tightly-bound relationship.
