Ragna's Assault

As Jin and Ragna locked there blades in combat Jin always had that sadistic, evil smile on his face. It was unknown if this was his actualy smile or Yukianesa twisting his emotions to make him look like that. As Jin's blade got knocked out of the way it was surprising to Jin that his older brother was sticking to basic hand to hand combat despite having a humongous sword sheathed on his back. Jin didn't really care as he quickly stabbed Yukianesa into the ground, forcefully propelled himself upward in mid air and block the kick with his knee, while his hand was still on Yukianesa's hilt. Jin then grabbed Ragna's fist as he was about to punch him in the gut. As Jin settled back onto the ground he wouldn't let go of Ragna's fist as he quickly pulled out Yukianesa from the ground. He was forming a giant winged arrow out of ice! At such close range Jin's Distortion Tenka Hyoujin would do some serious damage to Ragna if not then even just kill him! Jin pointed the tip of the arrow at Ragna's heart and released his hold of the ice, propelling the arrow which spun like a drill to the ehart of the beast and hopefully made his mark.

(OOC: If anyone thinks this is godmod or OP please tell me and I'll change it I was running out of ideas to fight at the moment.)

OOC: I'm a little frustrated you were able to block every attack so far but Jin's tough as hell and I'm still enjoying this fight quite a bit so it's all good.

Jin's fist closed in around Ragna's and the Bloodedge growled in frustration. Even injured, Jin was putting up one hell of a fight so far. Maybe it was time to stop handling him with kid gloves. Seeing the arrow forming along Jin's blade, Ragna knew exactly what was in store for him. He had seen the raw power of that technique before and resolved that regardless of the cost, he couldn't allow it to connect. Though his left hand was still immobilized, Ragna was far from being out of options. With a grunt of effort, he pulled back on his left arm to turn 90 degrees towards his left so that he was out of the way of Jin's arrow of ice. While his younger brother may have an edge over him in terms of speed and finesse, Ragna's raw power was still a step above allowing him to essentially bully his way through the somewhat clumsy dodge. However, clumsy or not, the arrow of ice sped by missing Ragna by mere centimeters. Despite escaping a vicious wound or even death, Ragna still winced in pain as the intensely cold projectile left traces of frostbite on his left shoulder merely by being near it. Even with his injuries, Ragna couldn't let this opportunity slip by. After launching such a powerful attack, chances were there would be a short opening in Jin's defenses and with the former Major already holding onto Ragna's hand, now was the perfect chance to inflict some punishment. Flipping the Bloodscythe into a standard grip, Ragna stabbed it forward towards Jin's right shoulder. If he could just disable Jin's sword arm this fight would be over. In case his younger brother's nerve failed him and he tried letting go of Ragna's hand to escape, the Bloodedge was prepared to clamp down in Kisaragi's wrist and hold him in place. "This is gonna hurt!"

Ragna's sheer power actually managed to help him this time as he was able to escape Tenka Hyoujin at such a close range! Just then he stabbed Jin's sword arm and cut most of the nerves. Jin screamed in pain as his arm grew limp, he knew this was a terrible situation. His main sword using arm was no totally useless he knew he had to go back to Sector Seven and hopefully Kokonoe could fix his shoulder I mean he made Ragna a totally knew arm before right? But he knew his brother wouldn't let him just slide off like that. Jin continued to scream but he was trying to ignore the pain as much as possible, as he clenched the grip of his wrist even more the pain grew but Jin forced himself to shut up. Even his own voice was getting on his nerves as he dropped Yukianesa from his limp hand and grabbed the blade with his left hand. Even using his bad hand Jin had to fight somehow. But with his brother crushing his right hand he would be stuck in close combat which was both good and bad for Jin. Good because now he could easily hit him with his fast attacks, but bad because Ragna is alot stronger than he is. "Tch Damn you Niisan your starting to fight dirty!" Jin took the tip of Yukianesa's finely sharp blade as it encased itself in ice Jin fired a Fubuki: Blizzard sword slash at Ragna's throat, if he didn't release his hold from Jin his throat would be sliced and he would die. Just in case Ragna did release his hold Jin froze the moisture in the air and created a single sword out of ice that flew and aimed towards his brothers stomach which would spear right through if that hit, however the ice blade probably wouldn't kill him bercause Jin was using his left hand now and his accuracy may have been a bit off.

Though satisfied he had disabled Jin's swords arm, Ragna grit his teeth as his younger brother switched hands, apparently refusing to back out of the fight regardless of the outlook. Once again Kisaragi suprised the Bloodedge with his phenominal speed as he lashed out again, now wielding his nox nyctores in his left hand. Left with no other options, Ragna released his hold on Jin's wrist and leaped backwards away from the blade. Half a step too slow, the chilling blade made a shallow gash across Ragna's chest. Blood ran down his torso and the rebel clutched the wound with his left hand, taken aback by the pain. It wasn't life threatening but it hurt like hell and was further proof he needed to stop screwing around with Jin. A few more cuts like that on top of his other injuries and it would be Ragna who wound up on the ground here. Shaking his head to regain his senses, Ragna looked up just in time to see a blade of ice hurtling towards his chest just off center. Bringing up the Bloodscythe, he used the weapon's abnormally wide blade to deflect the projectile harmlessly. Letting out a sigh of relief, Ragna forced himself to stand up straight and took a deep breath. "You're getting to be a real pain in the ass Jin. But if you really want me to beat you down that badly then fine!" Bringing the Bloodscythe back so that the tip was pointed at Jin, Ragna braced the middle of the blade with his left hand; no easy task considering the ache his left shoulder was still experiencing from Yukianesa's chill. "Carnage Scissor!" Pushing off his back foot, the Bloodedge dashed towards his brother with his sword leading the way. Finally deciding to utilize his blade against Jin, Ragna realized there was a heavy risk of this attack killing Jin but he had to take a chance if he wanted to survive himself. If the initial thrust was not enough to put his brother down, perhaps the return stroke augmented with an aura of seithr would suffice.

Jin was realizing that this fight might end soon, both him and Ragna had multiple injuries. But it would be a real trouble to defeat Ragna. Both of the brothers were giving there all and it appeared they were always equal. As Ragna moved back Jin quickly froze a little bit of moisture in the air and froze the gaping wound in his right shoulder to stop the bleeding and freeze the wound. Despite the freezing cold bringing chills down his spine Jin dealt with it for the pain of his shoulder wound was getting numb. However Jin knew to prevent getting frost bite and having to get his arm amputated he would have to break the ice soon. Suddenly Ragna came at Jin with his powerful Distortion. It was now or never as Jin stood perfectly still and lifted his free arm up as a giant circle of red aura enveloped the front of him. The circle was like a shield which blocked his brothers Carnage Scissors. "Hahahahaha! Excellent attack Niisan but sadly better luck next time...HAHAHAHA just kidding there won't be a next time after this. Kokkujin Yukikaze: Winter's Riposte!" As the Carnage Scissors was blocked Jin took out Yuikanesa with his left hand and ran right through Ragna at insane speed with a horizontal sword slash across his gut. If aimed properly Ragna would have a serious wound across his stomach. Even after that his entire body would be frozen in a glacier of ice and as Jin would sheath his sword the ice would shatter like flower petals.

Dashing forward, Ragna's blade slammed headlong against Jin's ethereal shield. For what seemed like an eternity everything hung in the air silently. Ragna's eyes widened a bit and he just had enough time to curse before it was too late. All he could do was turn to his right in a desperate attempt to avoid Jin's counterattack. However, at this range and with Kisaragi's insane speed it was something of a futile effort. Jin's blade sliced cleaning through Ragna's side leaving a bloody gash which was quickly covered in a thick layer of ice. His dodge had spared Ragna from the full brunt of Winter's Repost but nonetheless he was sent crashing to the ground on his hands and knees as the ice shattered into flower petals. Breathing hard, the Bloodedge sheathed his blade and gripped his side tightly with his left hand. His vision grew fuzzy for a minute until he was able to shake himself back to reality. His dhamphir body had saved his life again, with enough time he could heal from these wounds easily enough but first things first he had to put Jin down for the count. With a labored groan he hauled himself to his feet and stood there hunched over, blood running down his side.

"For what it's worth Jin...I'm sorry. I didn't want to use this against you but you're not leaving me any options. Restriction 666 released...dimensional interference field deployed...now engaging the idea engine....BlazBlue: Activate!" The red shell covering the back of Ragna's right hand opened and glowed with a vibrate blue light at the activation code. As he spoke a light purple aura began to form around the Bloodedge's body as he called upon the power of the azure to invigorate he bloody body. The end of this little fight was fast approaching and the Azure Grimoir would serve as an excellent finale.

Jin was slowly growing angrier the second as his brother had survived all of his fatal attacks. Even though barely he even survived his Yukikaze! Suddenly his brother did something that was most likely the climax to this fight. He activated his Azure, Jin had fought his brother using the Azure multiple times and even fought Caelica who used her Azure. Jin definately had some major experience with fighting and counter acting it, but that didn't mean he had to underestimate the Azure. Suddenly Jin's energy sky rocketed to the maximum as his green eyes shined like emeralds. "GRRRRRR!!! DAMN IT WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE ALREADY!!!! STOP TRYING TO AVOID THE INEVITABLE NIISAN THIS ISN'T FUN AT ALL!!" As Jin went to maxed power to go into his Unlimited Form the ground felt as if it was literally shaking from their sheer power. Two brothers, one with the Azure, one with incredible power. Both fighting with no holds barred, this was definately a match in the making as Jin stabbed Yukianesa into the ground, sprouting three large pillars of ice from the ground. If hit three giant spears would skewer through his older brother. Despite having the bulk of a Dhampir body to protect him from all those life threatening attacks, Ragna obviously had to realize how much more his body could take. Jin felt that this fight was on his side despite the fact he was fighting someone who's power was basically equivalent to the Black Beast.

With the power of the azure coursing through his body, Ragna looked on stoically as Jin called upon the full scope of his own abilities and unleashed Yukianese's full force against him. Furrowing his eyebrows, Ragna growled and gripped the Bloodscythe with two hands as the sword transformed into a massive scythe with a crimson blade of raw seithr. This was not just the average residue of the Beast found almost everywhere, this energy flowed directly from the Black Beast itself sealed inside Ragna as the Azure Grimoir. "Get ready Jin. This is the true power of the Azure!" Ragna roared rushing forward as he lashed out with his scythe. Cleaving through the first two columns of ice like they were made of tissue paper, the Bloodedge brought his weapon back around in a return stroke, shattering the final column in a shower of frost. Undaunted by his brothers attack, Ragna closed the distance between them quickly and brought the Bloodscythe back for one final strike. As the power of the Azure fluctuated around Ragna's body, his form seemed to blur until it became completely black save for the crimson glow eminating from his blade. Looking at him now, one would see that Ragna's silhouette had grown very similar to that of the Black Beast itself. This was his end game, the Black Onslaught. If unchecked, the Azure would hungrily absorb Jin's own energy before unleashing it against him in a final debilitating thrust of the Bloodscythe in sword form.

As the power of his brother's Azure reached it's maximum Ragna shattered through all of Jin's spears like nothing. Jin realized that his brother was going for a final attack as he saw the most terrifying move in his arsenal. The Black Onslaught The sheer power of the Seithr emanating from his scythe was running literally shivers down Jin's spine. He knew there was no way to block the attack but he had to do something! While his brother was running at him with the scythe in hand Jin spun around twice as Yukianesa's blade was glistening a pure white in color. Jin aimed the blade at the ground as he looked at his brother. "THIS IS THE END FOR YOU NISSAN EVEN IF I HAVE TO GIVE MY OWN LIFE UP! Arctic Dungeon!" Jin stabbed Yukianesa's blade deep into the ground instantly freezing anything with his range, sadly for Ragna he was running straight for him. Before Jin could pull out his sword from the ground he was stabbed by Ragna's slash at full power. As he flew Jin looked on to see if Ragna was encased by the unmeltable ice which would shatter seconds after cocooning him. As Jin fell to the floor Yukianesa was several feet away from him, stabbed in the ground right in front of his brother, Jin couldn't move a muscle for that slash most likely broke all the bones in his body.

Ragna saw Jin begin his own ultimate technique as he drew near. Arctic Dungeon was truly a devastating move but it was too late to do much about it now. All Ragna could do was carry through on his own attack and hope the Azure would see him through. Thrusting forward with the full force of the azure and the power he had stolen from Jin, Ragna felt his stamina returning thanks to the benefits of his soul stealer ability. As the Bloodscythe made contact with Jin's torso all the stored energy was released in one massive burst. Jin flew back losing his grip on his Nox Nyctores but his attack had already begun. Arctic Dungeon swept up around Ragna in an attempt to encase him in it's debilitating ice. The final burst of Black Onslaught was successful in shattering the initial growth of the ice but most of the energy had been directed at Jin, not his attack. Great shards of ice continued upward, piercing through Ragna's torso and thighs. While more ice surrounded him, Ragna was at least spared from being frozen solid. Suddenly the remaining ice shattered into smaller shards which gave Ragna even more annoying cuts and wounds. The sum of all his injuries finally caught up with the Bloodedge and he sank to his knees struggling to breath. Silently he thanked his soul stealer ability and his half-vampire body for carrying him through. His entire body felt like it was on fire but he forced himself forward, crawling over to where Jin lay.

Kneeling over his younger brother, Ragna chocked back a cough and blood dripped from his mouth. It hurt to move, hurt to breath, hell it hurt to live, but it was finally over. Wincing in agony, he pulled back his right fist in a semi threatening way. "It's over Jin...-pant-...you ready to start talking sense now?"

Caelica opened her eyes as the clashing of swords, the spraying of blood and seithr and the cries of agony ended.. as expected, Ragna had been triumphant, but he looked horrible. What kind of man has Jin become if he turned into something like... this...?!
Turning around, she saw that Nu was gone. Disappeared, as if she had never been there to begin with.. who was she, anyways?
Shakeing her head, she focussed on the important matters.

Caelica wasted not time to dash over to Ragna and put her hands onto him, her healing magic flowing into him to close his wounds and ease the pain significantly.

"Ragna... Ragna, are you.... are you okay...?" She asked him, quietly, then looked at Jin. He sure as hell wasn´t. He looked like as if he was unable to move a muscle anymore... and Soul Eater had taken its toll on him, he looked like as if he was about to pass out.
Yukianasa, the icey Katana, was still in his hands, but it seemed as if he wouldn´t resist with it anymore...

"Ragna... if that Nox is the cause... if that caused him to become like this.... then please, just take it away from him and throw it away.. into a river, bury it somewhere, toss it into a Cauldron, i don´t know... but i don´t want to see Jin like this any longer. This isn´t the Jin i used to know and love."

As he moved his eyes upwards he saw his brother crouching above him. He looked as if he was a piece of paper sent to the paper shredder. Yet...he still stood even after Jin's strongest attack! He tried to move to grab Yukianesa and finish the job but it was no use, with his bones broken he should have known it was futile. Just then he moved his eyes and saw there foster mother Caelica appear and started healing Ragna. Despite his ignorance he could obviously tell the pain she had inside seeing how the two young men she raised as children nearly killed each other. Tears suddenly started pouring from Jin's eyes as he looked at his foster mother and his older brother. "T...Tch...W...Why after all that I...did to you both, injured you...Threatened to kill you...Cause you both pain...Why do you to not kill me!? There's no way you both could have forgiven me for all that I've done! Especially you Niisan. All these years, chasing after you with excitement..To KILL you! Yet, you sit here....saying you want to talk with me? Have you actually forgiven me? I...I.....I'M SORRY! I'm sorry for all the pain and misery I've caused you both. I wouldn't be surprised if you two didn't just want to kill me right now...." Jin wanted to wipe the tears from his face even though knowing it was futile. He just didn't want to look weak which was ironic since he couldn't move a muscle.

"I'm fine. Nothing a little time won't fix. I want you to heal Jin first, just make sure he doesn't die on me." he said to Caelica as the pleasant touch of her healing magic eased his aches and pains. Lowering his fist, he knew Jin wouldn't put up a fight any longer, not with those wounds. He listened silently at his younger brother's apology and Caelica's pleas for him to destroy Jin's Nox Nyctores. He took a deep breath and shook his head at Jin's tearful apology. "You're such an idiot Jin. I told you already, you're my little brother. I don't give a crap about your Nox or any of that shit. We're family, all of us, and that's not gonna change." he said placing a hand on Cealica's thigh to include her in the family comment.

OOC: sorry for the short post. I'm dead tired.

Caelica, after being suprised about Jin´s apology, nodded to him and gave Ragna a short embrace, then left him in favor of Jin, one hand firmly placed on his arm to prevent him from killing her, the other placed on his wound to let her magic flow.

"Its fine now, Jin... It`ll all be fine once we find back together. You´re all grown ups now, your brother doesn´t need to tend Saya anymore. He has time for you now."

Despite knowing that Ragna would want to KILL her for saying that, she tried her best to console Jin, trying to get behind his psychosis and try to treat him in the best way she could... without smacking him repeatively.

Despite hearing the loving words of his brother and foster mother Jin continued tto speculate how in the world they could forgive him for all of the things he had done? Despite the fact that they were family why would they forgive him for the constant years of suffering he caused them? As he was wondering of there reasons he felt a warm, nice feeling. It was Caelica's healing magic, despite Ragna's current injuries he was worried about Jin's? Now he had yet another thing to wonder what was wrong with his family and why they worry about him? He felt his bones slowly getting better but still couldn't move a muscle. He just wanted to get the healing session over with so he can wipe the tears from his face, all the wounds he had and all he was worried about was his tears? Jin decided to just put his thinking in the back of his head, after all his family was with him now. He wouldn't have to be alone anymore. "Y...You're right.....We...are family. Hahaha don't worry about the "Playing" thing Niisan besides were grown up now right? I...I won't give you guys any misery anymore I promise." Jin felt the wound on his right shoulder suddenly go away, Caelica's healing magic obviously healed fast as Jin clenched his fist multiple times to get used to moving the arm again. He slowly moved his arm to his face and finally after his constant complaining in his mind, wiped the tears from his face.

Closing his eyes, Ragna was thankful to hear Jin speaking some sense for once. He took a deep breath and leaned back onto the ground, no longer having the energy to sit up. His rivalry with Jin was finally over, or at least it appeared that way. That was one obstacle out of the way, now all he had to worry about was Saya and Terumi. Finally catching his breath, Ragna sat back and waited for Caelica to finish healing Jin as best she could before working on his own injuries. He wasn't happy with her comment about him spending more time with Jin but he had moved past it. Having a skilled healer along was proving to be an incredible blessing so far so he had little room to complain.

Caelica finished her work on Jin fairly quickly, after all, it was just some broken bones and a few lacerations, nothing too life threatening... still, she kept her palm on his sword arm for a moment to look at him with a worried expression.

"Jin... i know what the Nox Nyctores are capable of. I know why they were made... and how. The way you´re useing Yukianasa is not right... i... i can only suggest you talk to Jubei about this.. he knows more about it than i do, but if you use her like this you might end up dead, no matter how strong you are.."

Finally, she sighed, placed a kiss on his forehead and stood up, getting back to Ragna and continueing to heal the batterred swordsman.
It sent a strange sensation through her to touch him, but she wasn´t going to give in. She had to realize for herself that this wasn´t the Bloodedge she knew.

"Ragna... what are you going to do now?"

As Jin was fully healed he slowly, but steadily stood back up. He walked over to Yukianesa who was still stabbed in the ground reaching his hand to grab her. He had a little faint heart wondering what would happen if he touched the sword again? Jin forcefully surpressed his emotions as he pulled out Yukianesa, luckily....Nothing happened. Jin was evily grinning, screaming to kill Ragna, or insulting anyone except for Ragna he was.......Normal. As he walked back over to the two he nodded at Caelica. "Y...You're right. I think I still need a little bit more training with Yukianesa, but at the moment I'm fine. Yukianesa only turns my mind into bat shit when my emotions get the better of me, if I suppress my emotions I should be able to stay like this. However, how am I supposed to find Jubei? He could be anywhere, the last I heard of him was when my first training session ended he said he was just going to wonder around the world. I have no clue where to start my search for him." Jin continued to clench his fist multiple times to get more used to moving his newly refreshed body as he sheathed Yukainesa and placed it around his belt.

Resting upon the cold ground, Ragna rubbed his eyelids with the back of his right hands and let out a contented sigh at Caelica's healing touch. In a few minutes he'd hopefully be back to one hundred percent and ready to move again. Not bothering to open his eyes at Caelica's question, he simply groaned and responded with a gruff voice. "I'm not really sure. Nu said Saya's hunkered down in Ibukido somewhere so I guess that's the place to start. Problem is I can't just wander around there without more leads. If we're lucky we might stumble across Jubei around there. He's the one who told me to head to Ikaruga in the first place." Opening his two colored eyes, Ragna propped himself up on his elbows and glanced between Jin and Caelica. He wished he could give them a better answer but the truth was he was as lost as they were. He wasn't some great leader or hero, he was just a guy that got pulled into Terumi's sick games.

Caelica nodded and smiled, continueing to work her magic while answering him.

"If anyone knows anything about it, its Rachel or Jubei.. but Rachel doesn´t tell, so Jubei it is."

She continued to heal him, but then a question stabbed her in the heart... with a worried look, she leaned in close to his face to whisper.
Caelica blushed deeply by this, but she had to tell him without Jin listening to it... and that was the only way to do that.
She could only hope he wasn´t going to make any sudden movements or this could turn out to be awkward.

"Wait... does that mean... Jin follows us? He`s looking for him, afterall... I... i don´t feel secure around him, even if he´s more normal now..."

After hearing Caelica's response to him tagging along with them he felt sad. Despite all this she still didn't trust him, well when you were hell bent on killing your family for the past few years Jin wasn't surprised she didn't trust him. Despite this he didn't feel good at all hearing how his foster mother still didn't trust him. "Yo're right and I understand why you don't trust me, if my emotions do get the better of me that's when Yukianesa takes my mind, if I stay calm then I'll stay like this but we don't know what could happen. I need to find Master Jubei as fast as possible so I can learn to master Yukianesa better. But I have no clue where he is, and I really want to be of some help to you both so I want to come with you. If that's OK with you both, if not then I'll gladly leave and look for him myself." Jin felt a nick and cracked his neck, he was still sore after his fight with Ragna, being hit head on by Black Onslaught was obvious.

As his wounds finally closed, Ragna finally found the strength to stand and re-sheath his sword. Rubbing his left shoulder, he helped Caelica to her feet and flexed his right hand now that the BlazBlue had been deactivated once again. He stood silently a moment and thought things over. Every time he rushed into things he wound up messing things up worse than they already were. It was about time he started thinking ahead for a change. "Jin, I'm going after Saya. We both know that you get emotional around her and I don't wanna see that sword take control of you again. Find Jubei, get control of your Nox and then we can get caught up on old times. Until then I'll take care of that piece of shit Terumi." Placing his hand on Jin's shoulder, Ragna offered his younger brother a reassuring smile (not a large one mind you, Ragna is Ragna afterall) nodded once. Turning towards Caelica he gently eased his coat off her shoulders and put it on again, once more living up to his legacy as the Bloodedge. It had warmed up a bit so hopefully she'd be warm enough without it. Along with that, Ragna was still looking for a chance to give her the slip and spare her from the unnecessary dangers ahead and he wanted to make sure he didn't lose his beloved jacket doing it. "You've never had much trouble finding me before. Track me down when you get yourself sorted, I'll be waiting." he said to Jin as he took his leave.

Caelica looked back at Jin, almost stareing at him, with a worried expression. The Jin she knew seemed to be still alive, but even if he had found himself, she didn´t know if it was going to be for long. If it would last. That was something only time could tell her...
Ragna had already gone off a few dozen metres, and as she snapped out of her gaze, she found that she was about to be left behind.

"Ah! Ragna! Wait...! You need me to pass through the seithr!"

Lightly stumbleing, she ran after her, leaveing Jin behind, hopefully sane enough for now...

As Ragna lay his hand on Jin's shoulder he knew what Ragna was after....There younger sister Saya. Jin remembered what happened to him whenever he saw Saya or a Murakumo unit that resembled Saya, he would always go crazy and Yukianesa would manipulate his hatred towards her and the Murakumo's. Jin knew that he was going to have to say goodbye to his brother once again for the time being to go and find Jubei. He wanted to follow Ragna, not as his assailant but as a brother. But if he saw Saya the way he was now, Ragna might actually have to kill him. As he saw both his older brother and foster mother leave Jin created an Ice Car and rode out of the Hierarchical City in order to search for his master, one of the strongest creatures alive, a member of the Six Heroes Jubei.
